In the Navy we were taught not to get one/placed where it will be regreted. Be SURE you know what/where you want BEFORE. Removal is a PAIN. Merry Christmas; Brian&Stimpy

I would recommend getting some place other than your abdomen. Especially if you want kids in the future. It will stretch out, you will lose some color in the tattoo, and though your skin will most likely go back into place (at least after your first child) it will never look the same again. This happened to my cousin when she has children. Lets just say if you get a dolphin on your stomach it will look like a whale even after you have children. Hope that helps! Maybe try where the leg meets the abdomen or even on your back?

Don't believe the hype--I am an older Mom (37 when I delivered) and I have 2 tattoos in the relevant area--one right beside my navel and one directly to the left of my right hipbone. I gained maybe 10 lbs more than I should have in the pregnancy and have since lost about half of my pregnancy gain. Neither of my tattoos changed significantly. They are not stretched out or weird looking at all. Still, I didn't get many visible stretchmarks either--lucky me, so it may be a skin-type thing too. I do have one girlfriend who had a tattoo on her hip and had twins--hers is a little stretched-out looking, so go figure. Maybe wait until after you have kids--or change the location for the tattoo.

BTW, My navel piercing did not stretch out at all and still looks great! Good luck.

Usually the smaller you're the extra your belly will stretch in the event you reap wieght throughout being pregnant at a gradual price you must be ok. I am 19 and presently 31 one million/two weeks pregnant and i used to be approximately such as you five'three'' and round one hundred fifteen kilos. I most effective received eight kilos thus far and my belly is soo stretched out i cannot even pinch the dermis! So a tattoo could more commonly stretch out alot.. Depends on how a long way down you desire it. Even although i haven't any stretch marks :) If i had a tattoo it could definatly be stretched outta form correct now. Probably have got to have contact americadone. My buddy after her being pregnant almost.. have you ever visible an older man or woman with tattoos on there wrinkles how distorted it's.. thats what it gave the impression of (however she received alot of weight and rapid)

I've never heard of tattoos getting stretched out and gross looking while being pregnant although it probably does happen. I know when you get your belly button pierced, it gets stretched out and gross looking when you are pregnant. However, I think you have a point. I believe since it happens to belly button rings, it would happen to a tattoo as well. When you are pregnant, pretty much every part of your body stretches out to be able to accomodate a baby. Maybe you could talk to someone who does tattooes to feel a little better about making a decision.

Tatoos are a funny thing, because they do respond to scar tissue, skin conditions, and yes, pregnancy. Just remember that whenever a person gains weight, yes, the tatoo will stretch. The opposite is also true: when a person loses weight, the tatoo will become finer in appearance because the ink dots are closer together. So, do what you want and have a good time. Close to the hip sounds like a great location!

Smart girl.. think ahead.
Put that tat somewheres else!!

Yes your suceptible to getting stretch marks even if you have good skin, and even if you have good genes, and a stretched out tat is the last thing you want!

For example: My mom has good skin, and had 4 kids and did'nt get one stretch mark. Where as I have one, and my entire lower abdomen got stretched...I'm still recovering emotionally, and just doing my best to work out, and eat right.

I can't guarantee that your tattoo doesn't get stretched out because everybody gains weight differently. But if you want an epidural for pain when you have kids don't get a tattoo is the middle of your back. Stick to getting one in your lower back. Good luck

It will stretch, as I learned the hard way after two pregnancies. Even though mine was closer to the pubic bone, the way the skin stretched still stretched out the design. If you work with an experienced Tattoo artist, they should be able to help you with a good placement. My friend put hers centered over her pubic bone and it didn't twist or stretch through three pregnancies. Good luck!

Yes, I know exactly where you wanna get your tat, it would look so stunning, and I've thought about getting one there too but I've also thought of how **** it will look like once I've had a baby or two.. so if i was you get one like your lower back or your ankle? Its just as sexy and it wont stretch or look ugly at any time:)
