How can you tell if someone is suicidal...besides cuts, burns, and major depression? some people are really good at hiding it! I am not so don't worry about me....just want to know what to watch for...thanks~

some common symptoms are insomnia, or oversleeping either one. someone who stops taking care of themselves such as showering or bathing, stops eating well, or maybe overeats, anything out of the norm for that person like that. these are all signs of depression, which leads to suicide. now suicide is a little different. when they start to give some of their possessions away is a tell tale sign. they are planning it if they are giving their stuff away. some may talk about it, but that is pretty rare if someone is serious about it. they won't talk about it, becuase they don't want anyone stopping them, they seriously want to die. you won't see many signs really, they generally try to keep it to themselves. so best way is to see depression first, wheich is easier to spot BTW burns and cuts are self inflivtion of pain, not signs of suicide. these people could possibly committ suicide, but they seems to get pleasure or comfort from self inflicting pain, entriely different than suicidal

Lack of interest in things they used to like, morbidity, talking about death. But really, if a person cutting and/or burning themself and in a major depression, they need professional help wether they're suicidal or not.

Quite frankly they can act totally normal. You have to be aware of very tiny shifts in behavior and listen extremely carefully to what they say. They may give hints about when they plan to commit suicide by saying things like some future thing does not matter, not being there in the future, some test doesnt matter anymore - things like that.

Suicide means they hurt them selves, not you.
They hate to be bothered most of the time.
So don't worry, they don't want you near them either.
By the way, I have no suicidal issues.
Just in case you think I do.

if they have short temper or aslo if they always get mad when you ask question and deny what you ask and aslo when they always say they would kill there self and be writing and giving hit's on what they would do to there self
