Can you get a friend to help you? I have taken swimming lessons three times and I still have great difficulty in the water. I do believe that formal lessons are best if you can afford them. They will help you overcome fear of the water if that is an issue, and also teach you things the right way so you won't learn bad habits.

No books and guides can help you. Just jump in to the water and your instinct will help you how to go about it. Join a club which has a swimming pool or go to the beach and spend 3 hours a day inside the water one fine day you will learn it. " Practice makes man perfect" By falling you learn to walk by drowning you learn to swim.

Try in the shallow end of the pool, taking strokes, then try to do it with your head above water, treading water. It takes a relaxed body, and give yourself time to learn; it is difficult at first, then, as they say, it is like riding a bike! You will get the hang of it, just takes practice. You don't have to be an Olympian, learn to "dog paddle" with feet and hands, and know you can swim from one spot to another. You will do just fine.

Swimming is the best exercise. than any other exercise. All the parts of our body will work. it makes our body fit and our body will be in a good condition. Before that, go to a proper coach.

is easy, start in 4-5ft deep water and go with an experienced swimmer in the beginning to assist you till you can float on your own.

please be specific with your questions ....but swimming is a great exercise so it is really very good for your health and it is fun ...so just do it !!!!
