Meaning, to be a man that your friends, family, church and strangers can respect, but at the same time being the same man when no one except God is watching that you are in public.

They are independent, being of faith and growing in faith is the conditioning of our spiritual side - maintaining integrity is the struggle with our carnal side. They both are daily challenged within us, the struggle with our sinful nature, as well as the struggle with our own belief that we can carry the load ourselves. God's grace trumps our own faults. Faith and integrity go hand in hand when dealing in Christian dogma -- Levitical law and the commandments of God require it.
I speak to God every day and hope to attain the righteousness of His Elect; therefore I act the same when in the presence of more than just God.
And yes, at times it is most trying and difficult and I most certainly backslide being the corruptable human that I am.

Good question. I try to be the same, but being the sinner that I am, I must admit that when no one is watching, many times I find myself giving in to temptation. That is where a accountability partner comes in handy. Someone who knows all of your weaknesses and will call you on it to make sure you keep yourself in check. If you asked them, I would probably get high marks on integrity from those who know me, but I also know myself, and I feel ashamed at times of my duplicity. "Who can free me from my deadly lower nature? Thank God, it has been done, through Jesus Christ the Lord."

The answer is ancient. It is, that if you are, what you are, then you are, at all times "I am," a reflection, however imperfect, of God. It -should- make no difference. I have more trouble, though, I suppose, holding my composure with my children, then at any other time. Watching children all day can be a trying experience, as they learn how to test you.

If you have faith in the lord, the rest will fall into place if you will let the lord work in and through your life.
No other explanation is needed.
Have faith.
