LMAO...I have never been successful at getting it all to separate like the adds say either. I have tried tapping it with a hammer, slamming it on the counter or the wall and it never seems to break correctly. I have even refrigerated it, frozen it, left it in the sun to get warm and melt a little to see if that wouldn't help...all to no avail (ok so I'm a little anal retentive lmao).
If you ever figure out the secret let me know

Nope. Never. It loosens up some of the pieces, but not all of them.
I'm sure that for the commercial it's all staged. They whack it, open it, break off all the pieces nicely, re-wrap it and then shoot the commercial.

Of course! And every time I break a fresh baked chocolate chip cookie in half, I get those little yummy strands of melted chocolate in between, too!

Don't use a 5lb club hammer - I am still finding bits of my chocolate orange. It broke into a million pieces and each one of those broke into a million pieces.
