What's this "syndrome" called? cientifical?
The syndrome consists on this: When you suffer something terrible, your brain blocks those memories so that you don't have to deal with it.

I need to know how that's called, if it has a scientific name.

Thanks!!

The condition you are referring to is called Amnesia which can be caused by trauma to the head or severe emotional trauma such as mental and physical abuse especially in cases where there has been sexual abuse. Events such as the World Trade Center may cause someone to block out the horrifying images they experienced while others remember vividly the events on that day.

when that happens it is called repression. your brain represses those thoughts until you are ready to handle them because they would be too painful to deal wtih at that present moment,
