I'm looking to buy a treadmill that will give me a fast jog but I'm not sure about which model I should buy. The house I live in vibrates easily so there will need to be some sort of shock absorbion.

There are a lot of treadmills on the market go to this website for reviews http://www.treadmilldoctor.com/category.html?UCIDs=295238. Regardless of the treadmill get a mat to put under it, The mat will make things a little quieter and absorb some of the vibrations.

I would check out some of the second hand sports stores like "Play it again" or even Ebay. You can pick up some exec lent used treadmills for a quarter of the price you would buy new.

Based on the reviews and price point I picked up a pacemaster bronze. I haven't had any problems with it and it's more than fast enough for speed work (if you decide to do any)

Good luck! :)

I bought a healthrider softstrider and it works well. I've had it for over 3 years now. It is heavy duty, so I don't think it would shake as much as some of the cheaper made models. It folds up.

About any noise on the floor.....I do not know, as I put mine in the basement family room facing the tv. I would imagine it's a lot less than most models.
