It depends if you are talking about preschool or Pre-Kindergarten. My son is 2 (born in late October) and he is in a preschool type classroom environment. They learn their colors, numbers, they have circle time, music time, story time, and 3 hours of outside play a day. They also have a Pre-K class (which is free in the state of Georgia and a few other states I believe) which is similar but this prepares them a little more for kindergarten. So, yes you can put your daughter in a preschool class at the age of two. Now finding one that you can put your daughter in immediately will be the hard part. I don't know where you live but the place my son goes to there is a year and a half waiting list. So, my advice to you would be to go ahead and contact the schools, daycares, or preschool programs and ask. That will be the only way to find out for sure.

Yes it is true, if your child's birthday is after September 6, they have to wait until the following year. There are preschools that start at 3-4 years old depending on the school in your area.

It will depend on the preschool. For kindergarten, most schools have a cutoff date. My son was born in November and they had to be 5 before September 1 to start kindergarten so he had to wait a year to start, so she may have to wait until she is almost 6 to start kindergarten. Some states it is Dec. 1.

It depends on the preschool, some accept children year round, so she may be able to start in the middle of the year when she turns 3, others will not enroll her until the next fall. Just call around and ask their policy :)

I think it depends on the preschool at the one my daughter attends they have a class for 2 and a half year old. Also the class she is in one of the girls just turned 3 last week. So long as she is potty trained i am sure someone will accept her.

In VA ....a child has to meet the age requirement by Sept 30. For example, my daughters bd is Oct 16. She wasn't able to start kindergarten when she was five because she didn't turn five until 0ct 30. Your child would have to wait until next year in Virginia because she wouldn't be 3 by Sept 30.

that will depend on the school. some preschools have programs for kids as young as 6 months. If you want her to start school your best bet would probably be a private school

She can start preschool when she is 5. Yes, the story is true. Children with later birthdates does have to start the following year. However, some schools can waive that if you're lucky.
Happy Holidays! =)
