i think you have to be in love.

I never liked having sex with the guys i dated that i didn't love...I always thought that maybe it was just me and i would never like sex, but i found out that you have to be in love.

Wow! when u ask a question you dont fool around... the moral arguements alone will take hours to discuss, then the ethical overtones...

All i can tell u is that sex and love are not the same thing and that great sex and a loving relationship are not mutualy inclusive.

you sound like your trying to make a choice, just try to be honest to yourself cos if you are not you will only end up hurt and probly hurt someone alse as well. Love is key for a relationship...sex is great fun and can help to strenghen a relationship but in its own right is something that has little meaning beyond the trust that must exist between two consenting adults to share in it.

I personaly wouldnt sleep with a person just for sex... i cannot give myself to a woman without trust and affection, in short there has to be love first...buts thats just me.The Quality of the sex thus has no real meaning... besides the hugging after and the intimacy before both last longer and are more intimate then a lot of bump en grind.

Great sex is just that... but im my experiance its rare and special and invariably only happens when both parties are in perfect unison both phy. and mentaly... the enjoyment of sex comes from the state of mind of both parties, if you can loose yourself in the moment, have no thoughts other then the sensations of that moment and a feeling of total bliss then its great sex. Love helps in all regards but isnt the dominent factor... so no, you dont have to be in love.

So thats all the advice i can offer,

good luck en stay safe.

Being in love definitely makes you enjoy sex a lot, lot more. Both of you are so intimately involved and want so much to feel the pleasure together. Sleeping with someone just for sex is YUCK. And to top it you say, "even if the sex is not that great". Please stop. Later in life you may think back and wish that you had skipped all of that sex for nothing.

Actually the most fun sex is done with people you don't really care about. The reason is that there can be good communication during the process where you can share what you like and what you don't like and talk in a way that may otherwise offend your boy/girlfriend. If the sex is not that great then you can work on it, and if they keep failing to improve cut them off until they follow your directions. Learning happens quick when sex is withheld.

The best sex is with someone you love. That is not to say that you can't have a good sexual relationship with someone you don't love - it is just not nearly as satisfying.

If the sex is not that great, why keep sleeping with someone just for sex? That makes no sense unless you are just desperate. Move on and find someone you click with.

If you find it is getting better you could wait it out. But if you know you will never really be into it then stop.

You can enjoy sex without love.

d'ur! what a no-brainer!!! If sex is all the two of you have got going for you, and the sex isn't that great, then what are you doing together?!
you don't have to be in love to enjoy sex, but you *do* need to be "into" them (so to speak).

You don't have to be in love but the person should turn you on. Bad sex is better than none at all though.

You don't have to be in love to really enjoy sex.

I get bored easily and have a short attention span. After a while, if new things aren't happening, I get bored.
It seriously then becomes an issue of "it's not you, it's me". lol
