I have one and its great for DVD movies when hooked up to 5.1, 6.1 or 7.1 surround systems. Of course the new HD DVD or Blu rays that are 1080i and 1080p will not look as good since cheaper projectors are only 480p or 720p. They are good enoungh for DVD playback and games. I'm projecting 120 inch diagonal which is larger than any Rear Projection, LCD or plasma. I paid only 1200 and that was a few years ago. The only drawback for me is that the room has to be pretty dark either by waiting for the sunset or have blackout curtains before playing a movie or the movie will be washed out. Inexpensive is good because these projectors get better and cheaper as time goes by. I do have a 36" TV but for movies....bigger is better.

They arent bad...not as costly as a DLP or LCD projection...Two things you might want to know. ON the older projection tv's when you get off to the side of the tv you cant see a picture... and also eventually like estimated five years you are going to have to replace a bulb. Which could cost anywhere from 100-300 dollar and you would have to buy this through the manufacture. I work in electronics at sams. So anymore tv questions just let me know.

i still use one. I love it. Those hi-tech things are expensive and you need a professional to show you how to use one.
