Yes, but only to a certain point.

Yes. Even though teens are still young, they shouldn't get too big or too small. They need to try to stay an average weight. Whatever eating habits teens have right now, they will probably keep them the rest of their lives. So it's better for a teen to have a good eating habit now than later on, because they may not get it. They need to eat good meals a day and not just junk food. But schools are now trying to make the choices at school healthier, so that will help a little.

Yes, because by the time you are a teen, your health and eating habits are well established. I'm not saying a teen should be obsessed with being skinny but if a teen is significantly overweight because of overeating/bad eating habits and lack of exercise then they will be an adult with the same problems... It's better to get it under control now instead of waiting until you're older.

In some respects - yes. Not enough to go anorexic or bullemic, but keep control of it. Fats, grease, alcohol intake, etc. Parents should encourage it and help as well. I have a sister whose daughter is WAY overweight and she is only 9 years of age. How depressing for her!! Kids are cruel nowadays and overweight kids do not need to give them a reason!!!

Yes, If you keep your weight in check at an early age, it will help you keep it under control when you get older. Proper diet, excercise, and a clear mind are all good things to try to keep.

Only if they are overweight, but they shouldn't worry, because that never helped anyone. They should just eat healthily and exercise until they are a healthy weight. HTH : )

Teens, or anyone for that matter, shouldn't worry about their weight, they should do something about their weight.

I don't think worrying will do any good, but teens should eat right, exercise and watch their weight.

Out of control teens become grossly obese adults.
