I'm asking because my husband of 50 has Type II. Which means he has diabetes. They like to make 'types', but you have it period! He has alot of pain in all hours of day and night with his legs and feet. He has to walk like he's walking on glass if he has soft shoes on. He wears $300 diabetic shoes because of it. He has bowel problems on top of having to go 'no. 1' in the middle of night several times. My question is: we've been through SEVERAL doctors and he takes shots AND pills, but still has bowel (diarihhea-spelling?) in the middle of the night. That CAN'T be good! Plus his pain in his legs and feet! OH HELP!!

I am also type 2. I have had many of the same problems. On the first medications they gave me, I gained a lot of weight, which made the pains in my legs and feet much worse. I am on my feet 12 hours a day and suffered horrible foot and hip pain. I take Metanx which is a vitamin that is prescription, prescribed for neuropathy. I also bought the special shoes and was fitted for orthotics and nothing helped. Finally, a friend suggested I try Zcoils. I was so desperate, that I was willing to try anything. I purchased a pair of those, had my meds changed to Byetta and Actos and most of my symptoms have disappeared. The Zcoils, metanx and byetta and actos work like a charm for me. I lost 35 pounds on the new meds and I feel great. Have your husband ask the doctor about Byetta. It saved my life.

My husband also has Type II diabetes. He is just now getting his first pair of diabetic shoes. The legs and feet problems are horrible. My husband had this (neuropathy) for about a year and a half....then when the pain stopped, he has no feeling at all in his feet. That is even worse. You will need to help watch his feet for injuries all the time. DH just ended a 5 week stay in the hospital because of stepping on a tack and not even knowing it, and it caused a sore on his foot, requiring surgery. DH suffered through the leg and feet pain by massive doses of tylenol (way too much), but now there are new medications now that my help--like Lyrica. With your husband still getting up several times in the middle of the night, it sounds like his diabetes may not be under good control Good luck with all this.

I'm a 45 year old woman and was recently diagnosed as being a borderline diabetic. My doctor prescribed some medication, but before filling it I decided to do some research on the internet which led me to the methods. After reading this ebook and applying the methods, my scepticism turned to 100% belief. I noticed that my energy levels increased significantly and I felt more rested in the morning, my symptoms started going away.

I am very happy to tell you that I have been feeling better than I have felt in years and my doctor informed me that he will be taking me off my prescriptions if I keep this up.

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

The pain that he is experiencing i n the legs and feet is from a condition called Peripheral Neuropathy. It is treatable but not curable. I have had it for over 15 years and have had major problems as a result. The Neurologist will want to confirm it with an EMG. This is NOT a FUN TEST! The Medical Doctors will want him to walk continually and keep his blood sugars under control to the best of his ability. These will NOT CURE IT but they may keep other nasty things from progressing further. There is a surgical procedure that has helped a number of those affected by this condition. I am unable ti find that information at the present time but there is a lot of information about Neuropathy at
http://www.medhelp.org/perl6/neuro/archive/Neuropathy.html
I found a doctor that performs the surgery on Neuropathy in Ohio. He can speak to you anout it and refer you to a doctor in your area if you are interested. He is Dr Hazimah. His office at 3655 Ridge Mill Drive in Hilliard, Ohio
Phone 614-527-3790 or 1-888-697-2461. I hope that this helps with your questions and assists in treatment for this horrible condition. Have a great Christmas with your husband. YOU BOTH deserve it!!

Diabetes is a crazy disease. It affects everyone so differently. My father's circulation is so poor now that he will pass out and fall if he stands up for too long. He also has trouble healing wounds and has lost two fingers due to burns not healing and then getting infected. If his blood sugar gets too low he'll get so nauseated that he won't be able to keep any food down to help his sugar get back up. The list goes on and on...

I'm by no means a doctor, but just from having to care for my father, I would reevaluate your husband's diet for the bowel stuff. Is his blood sugar staying steady? Is he drinking or smoking?(Hopefully no, that stuff will wreak a diabetic) Is he eating more fast sugars then slow? Is he getting enough fiber? (Veggies, Veggies Veggies)

To help the circulation (and maybe ease the pains) I would try fish oil. It not only improves mood, but helps circulation. I know my dad experienced a huge difference from that one little supplement.

I'm not a doctor, but these are things that have helped with taking care of my father. Keep trying to find doctors, each have different ideas, one of them is bound to work. There are diabetic clinics and diabetic specialists out there, I would def. try and get in touch with one in your area.

Good luck, and have a good holiday.

What kind of medication is your husband taking for his pain. was he told not to walk around his home with his bare feet. There is just to much information that you have left out. How often his he seeing his Doctor....................................................

At the disadvantage of not knowing the specifics in this situation, but compliance with a diabetic diet may help . . as compared to non-compliance and "taking a pill" to compensate.

type one is A LOT more serious. They have to give themselves shots and its more deadly - if your not carefull. My cousin has that. My Dad though, only has type two. He has to watch his sugar intake, and take a pill or two every day. My dad has no pain so I don't know what to tell you.
