I had a chiropractor tell me once that sitting in a hard chair with your back against the back of the chair. Now cup both your hands on your left knee (right knee - doesn't matter which one is first) and lift it (the knee) up to your chin holding in your stomach and don't bend at the back. Make the knee come to you. Do this in 30 second repetition sets of five. Then do it with your other knee. Then take each one again, but instead of straight up to your chin - criss cross the left knee to your right shoulder. As far as you can take it. You should be able to feel it pull your lower back. It's WONDERFUL!! I have lower back problems. I am 45 now, but have had back problems since I was your age. Vitamins are always a good thing! I didn't start that young enough. START NOW!

Take a pilates class, it concentrates mostly on strengthening your core (abs) and will take a lot of pressure off of your back. Also, make sure you have good posture, and try to avoid stressing your knees for long periods of time. You can try acupuncture for your knee, if you think that will work, I know some people who say it does. Part of your knee problem is probably coming from your back. Because that is the main basis of your body, it affects all your other joints. Lastly, go to the doctor and see if there is something wrong with your back or knee, created either by sports or high-stress. Good luck, and I hope you get some help, its not any fun to feel 50 when your a teenager!!! :)

I'd mention this to a doctor when you see him/her.

I have had knee problems....slight pain, locking up, cracking when I walk, but I'm older than 15. I bought a product called Osteo Biflex. It rebuilds cartilage. It can be found at most pharmacies or department stores. I haven't had any problems since.

As far as exercise.....working out in water is very beneficial for those with joint problems.

I'm going to supply McGraw Hill the advantage of the doubt, that her notion of four x 200mg of Motrin used to be a typo. Prescription ibuprofen is six hundred mg in step with dose, no longer 800. Yes, see a health care provider! That type of anguish isn't a factor to disregard! Do your knees harm with each sorts of saddle? My knees almost always endure whilst using a western saddle if the stirrups don't seem to be grew to become properly, and an English saddle if the stirrups are too quick *for my alternative*. Yes, I pick an extended stirrup than is *proper*, in particular in comparison to a leaping stirrup duration. For the western, soak the stirrup leathers and hose down the bottom of the fenders (do not soak them considering the rainy position will go away a mark at the entrance part), then flip the stirrups and keep them in position till they dry. It's nice to do that round a barrel or anything in order to push in opposition to the stirrup to drive the leathers to bend sharply. Just placing on a sawhorse may not be as potent, however it'll support a few. If the saddle has customers with one-of-a-kind leg lengths, it is nice to grease and melt the leathers in which they cross over the tree, then you'll transfer that finish alternatively of relocating the cautiously formed stirrup finish and wasting that shaping. I've determined that the pony liniment referred to as Thermoflex Gel is first-class for painful joints and stiff muscular tissues - however I'm greater than three occasions your age! You must no longer be agony this fashion at age 14, and it maybe doing harm in order to reason you even worse anguish as you age. Please see a health care provider or exercises therapist approximately this! You too can paintings to your horse's "want" for "plenty of leg". A good-knowledgeable horse must reply to gentle cues from legs and reins. If you cannot get the support of a teacher to lighten your horse's responses, get a few moderate spurs to cut down the quantity of strain you must follow. Your mother must no longer be letting you refuse scientific awareness. It's the task of dad and mom to be certain children are nontoxic and healthful and no longer injuring themselves.

I hate to tell you this but you are WAY too young to be having this type of pain. (I suffer from severe scoloisis). That is when your spine curves..............like an S shape, and it's very painful. You need to go to the doctor and get some x-rays of your back just to make sure you do not have this condition and hopefully you DON'T. Good luck and i hope you don't have scoloisis....it may just be a pulled muscle but please do get to the doc's........
