I think I read this once. I think that a chimpanzee can touch its own elbow on the same arm- i.e., it can touch its left elbow with its left fingertip.
The answer HAS to do with surprising mobility, and I'm sure this is it.
Actually little miss complicated soul is on the right track too. It HAS got something to do with enhaced mobility I think.

Chimpanzees have hands that look a lot like our own.
They have a thumb, but their thumb cannot meet the tip of their forefinger, keeping them from having the precision grip of humans.
They also have fingernails on their fingers and toenails on their feet rather than claws.
Chimpanzees have a long flexible great toe on their foot that is used like an additional thumb for climbing and grasping objects.
Chimpanzees also have fingerprints and lines on their palms similar to humans.
Being flexible they can kiss their elbow. Humans can't...i bet some of you tried t do that!

this question has me stumped,i havent a clue i did some searching and cant find a answer,i advise going to a web site that is about chimpanzees and contact them and ask them,they would be able to help you better then anyone i would asume

If I am not mistaken, Chimps are apes, not monkeys. But anyway, have baby chimps..don't think any other species can do that =)
