Emmaean is right.
I for one would laugh to see Michael's career go straight down the tubes.
I'll pray for Mel.

I think it's entirely appropriate that his outburst has been met with loud disapproval. Racism isn't a pretty thing and should be denounced wherever it rears its ugly head. But he had the decency to admit that he was wrong, apologize, and pledge to seek counseling. That's good enough for me. I make mistakes, too. As far as I'm concerned, the matter is closed.

Since this question is in Religion, a quote from Jesus might be appropriate, "Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh."
Same goes for Mel. The difference between the two, IMHO, is that Mel really hates that those sentiments infect his heart. Richards just seems scared of losing his career.

I think he's guilty of being pushed to the limit by someone. Then he used racial slurs which was a bad choice. We've all been pushed to our limits, and we all react differently, and I don't usually hold that against anyone. It's unfortunate that his tantrum was caught on video. It just goes to show that in this day and age you are constantly being observed and/or recorded.

Yes, I think Micheal Richard is guilty of thinking his fame will allow him to talk and act anyway he wants.

I think he has anger issues that he needs to take care of. He needs to examine his heart and ask himself....what caused me to act in this inappropriate manner?

The person heckling him also is to blame! You don't behave that way at any type of performance or show. It is also most inappropriate.

Oh lord frankly I think EVERYONE at some point in their lives has made comments such as the ones he made or the ones Mel Gibbson made. The only difference is they are in the public eye and every breath and fart is video taped for the world to see. Regardless of if you'll admit it or not you have. Who hasn't made comments about whites, blacks, Asians, MIDDLE EASTERNS,Jews and such. Every damn one of you at some point doesn't make it right but frankly that's life people do it get over it stop dwelling
