I could only see it happening if something terrible happened, in terms of World War. If we merge, the USA, Canada, UK and Australia, we'd be incredibly strong. But the problems with that are the problems it was in Rome and Persia and Greece and Spain and any other dominant nation. Nations were born to be nations, not more. Things like this break up and then everyone falls into ruin. The strong crumble under their own right and the smaller at left to fend for themselves, all over again. So while the idea has a "homey" feel to it, if you don't think on it too deeply and get drawn in the "brotherhood" of it, it does not make final sense, long term. Besides, us Americans are resented enough, as it is. Honestly. We have enough of our own problems and I agree with the world, our interest should remain on our own shores. People don't appreciate us when we're being good and they absolutely detest us when mistakes are made. So after reading up on this, and several bad, some good consensus, I'd have to say cleaning up our own act to be the best of allies with other nations, is a much better idea.

Must be something in it otherwise Blair would not be acting as he is against his own country's interest.
He is probably looking for a janitors job in the White House judging by his attempts to solve everything and nothing.
Makes you wonder about the integrity of the so-called professions?

The UK is like a nice, friendly, dependable neighbor that you are so glad is part of the neighborhood. They come over for drinks, watch out for your kids when your away. But they are not part of your family.
Someone just messed up at the bottom. I hope someone fixes it, because I'd be mad if I were British.

A taxi driver in liverpool told me it was because George Bush Jnr is Beilsabub and Tony Blair is the devil - I don't think it's true, but he was pretty adamant - I got out of the car quite quickly
