You should have been there from day ONE for your son. It doesn't matter what you were doing, but your wife and newborn son are a priority.

Why would you give 2 lakhs that you did not have to your sister when you knew a baby was on the way? Why would you help her set up in Bangalore and show up after your wife's delivery?

You were there during the conception, you should have been there for your son's first moments, and for your wife at that difficult time. Its not your in-laws job to take care of your baby, its your job.

You are married to your wife, not your sister. Snap out of it and be a real man.

This is shocking indeed, to starve newborn child. Thank God the baby and you are fine now.
Where was your wife when all this happened? Why didnt she do something to see that the child was taken care of? Granted that she was just out from her delivery experience, natural motherly instincts would have prevailed. Only she can say what really took place on those two days.
Was yours a marriage that wasnt approved by your in laws? That might answer a few questions, but it is sheer cruelty that an innocent new born baby was treated that way.
I hope things are better now.

newborn babies only take in seveal ounces during their first days as the mom is only producing colostrum for up to three days. The amount produced at each feeding is equal to a tablespoon, this is why it is normal for babies to lose up to ten percent of their body weight by their one week check up. Going without enough liquid for only 1 and a half days could not cause seizures. Grow up and quit trying to blame your in laws.
