All religions have some form of tolerance clause built in and no religion that I know of says you must ACCEPT anyone else's religion.
For Christians, there's quite a few: Judge not, lest ye be judged; Pride cometh before the Fall; the story of Job, etc.

I'm not slamming Christians, just using Christianity as an example.
Why is it that people with dogmatic faith insist that if others do not ACCEPT their brand of Theology, they are doomed. Aren't they making a judgment if they say that? For example: If your God is so merciful and forgiving, where in your holy book does it say you have the right to make judgment for Him? My point is: If your God is Your Light and Your Salvation, then why don't you speak of Him that way? How would Christians feel if someone tried to convince you that your Faith is false. Some people are very good at this and frankly it's not nice. People should stop trying to convince others their faith is wrong and work on proving their faith is right.

In a perfect world - yes. But this is far from a perfect world. It's much easier to yell from your perceived pedestal, "You are going to hell if you don't believe," than it is to thoughtfully show someone what your beliefs are and why you think/feel that they are correct.

You can tolerate someone, by not fighting, but accepting the other person point of view would be different wouldn't it?, its the same with religion, you can try to understand what they believe, but in the end you will think that you have the truth, [and u cant say no, because otherwise u wouldn't belong to the religion that u belong..] we do what we think its right...

i wonder if people can actually REALLY accept other religions....

This is why the Bible is so important. If if is the word of God-then it must be true. It must be considered 100% correct. If any part is found to be wrong-then it is all wrong (the 66 book books). None of this tradition of men stuff should be accepted. We, as Christians must learn the Bible and how to 'rightly divide the word" so as not to be in error.

Also for Muslims-they must believe the Koran-if any part of it is found to be wrong-then it is all wrong. We should not live out our religions as some man say it should be-but as God says.

If we find our religion to be false-we must walk away from it. Pride has no place in the kingdom of God.

Many religions have a history of preaching about tolerance but not practicing it themselves, and Christianity is certainly no exception. It is easier to proclaim that you are right and everyone else is wrong than it is to actually listen to opposing views and try to understand them. Ignorance is bliss as they say.....

It is not about what we tolerate as humans, it is about what God tolerates.
We didn't wake up one morning and decide that we would tell people about the lake of fire that awaits non-believers; We read it in the Book.
I agree that we need to be kind and caring as we attempt to share our faith, (that is in the Book also), but we don't get to choose what is tolerated, ok.

i'll just quote this, sorry for being lazy:
Every pulpit is a pillory, in which stands a hired culprit, defending the justice
of his own imprisonment.
