The airlines dont require you to do that anymore. Infact, there is really no need to do it at all since etickets have becomed used. During the days of paper tickets it was harder for airlines to track passengers, these days it very easy. The only think you should do is check your flight on the airlines website and see it is ontime and make sure there has not been a schedule change. Most airlines allow you pull up yor reservation on their website as well. So you can look it over to make sure everything is ok.

But reconfirming a flight with airline is no longer needed

go to your airlines website but if your flight is to denver or from denver then your out of luck because the airport is closed.
