We keep chickens in our back yard and a few of them have been acting funny lately. I've already filled my bathtub up with water. Should I get one of those N-95 masks just in case?

My grandfather has already called the L.A. county health department and they don't seem to care, what now?

Call the Center for Disease Control. It is highly unlikely that it is bird flu.

well what I've heard when its the bird flu they die and they don't act funny. If they are acting funny and dying...it's a high possibility. Why would you fill the bathtub with water anyways? If you kill those chickens and eat them its a another high possibility that you guys can get sick. Good luck with the chickens.

I doubt that it is bird flu. Anyways, how would it get here? I would keep on calling the L.A. county health department until they do something. Good luck. Dont die. JK

The big clue about bird flu is that the chickens die. If they're just "acting funny" then it probably isn't bird flu.

As you mentioned LA, there is one possibility as you're obviously a keen survivalist... strange animal behaviour is often observed in the days leading up to a major earthquake... Merry Christmas!

I'm pretty sure it isn`t because if it really was, den you, your would be in a bad condition of the flu and be really sick by now. If your not sick in any way, then you dont have to worry about it. But you do need someone to check those chickens. It can be mad chicken diease

Nope. Just call Bush and tell him he can have some chickens if he wants them, for Christmas dinner.
