Christians do not know the exact date, they chose the December Date because they wanted to celebrate the birth and there was also a wintersolstice holiday that the pagans celebrated. It was a lot easier to persuade them to convert if they didnt have to give up their celebrations in the midwinter. Christmas is actually a minor Christian Holiday, Easter is the major one.
The virgin birth means several things, immaculate conception refers to Mary being born without original sin so that she would be a pure vessel for bearing our Lord. It also means that she bore Jesus as that pure vessel. She did not conceive him in the natural way , as being the physical embodiment of God, Jesus had to be identifiable to humans so he was born and raised as a human.

The fact that they believe he was born in Decmber. He was not born in december, and I haven't heard a Christian tell me he was. I'm not exactly sure why we celebrate it on that day. But a baby born from a single parent and God's help sound far more credible to me than a universe born from absolutely nothing at all.

Jesus was not born in December therefore, that is what I think is more ridiculous. Not all Christians believe that he was born in December.

Neither. What's really ridiculous is that these things bother you.
Besides, we only celebrate His birthday in December...most people know that He wasn't BORN in December.

You left out so many parts of their ridiculous theology. What is sad is the Virgin Birth myth comes because the whoever wrote the gospels couldn't read Hebrew and had to refer to a Greek translation of Torah.
