Hmm...just curious what other ladies do.
You text message a guy back and forth (let's say you just met him couple days ago) and then he eventually asks, casually, what your plans are for for tonight or weekend (but he doesn't actually ask you out).

What do you do (if you want him to ask you out) ...do you just tell him you have no plans? What's the best way to answer his question?

I would tell him that I have no plans, and ask why he asks.....I flubbed the question up before---when he asked if I had already ate---I told him YES!!! I should have said, I was thinking about going out to get something to drink and seen if I got an invitation. Good luck.

He doesn't want to be too forward, but if he ask you casually about your plans on a certain day or weekend, then usually if you absolutely have no plans for those times he will follow by casually asking you out for something light (coffee, beer) things that people converse over, something not so heavy. So if you are indeed interested, tell him you have no plans and say nothing else. I'm sure he will do the rest. Good Luck

That is funny because my wife and I started in this exact same situation. I know you asked for female opinions, but I couldn't resist.

I did the same thing. I kept asking her what she was doing and she always made up that she was hanging out with someone because she didn't want to seem like she never did anything. Eventually everything worked out.

I would say that either you be honest with him and say that you are not doing anything or don't have anything planned and that you are going to play it by ear. Or you turn the questions around and say, what are you doing or ask him if he wanted to hang out.

be honest about it, if you have plans tell him if you dont tell him a lot of guys will say that to lead to the question to ask you out, I mean, noone likes rejection and if you already have plans they will be rejected. If I dont have plans I just say i'm not sure yet.

He obviously wants to ask you out...but if you say 'no plans', then are you afraid of looking pathetic? I would like to hear, "Nothing I couldn't break if a better offer came along ;)"

If you have no plans then tell him so. Maybe he will ask you out. Otherwise, maybe he is just curious and making conversation.

Text message him back. Nothing special going on did you have something in mind?

Good luck and merry, merry.

ask him what are his plans. if he has some, just say you have some. if he doesn't have some, ask if he would like to join you.
