You say you have original sin. You call yourselves sinners. You constantly talk about how you're too dirty to face Jesus and you need to wash off and be born again with spiritual bodies because your physical ones are too dirty and what not.

Why do you do this to yourselves?

Really. Which is worse, being descended from a monkey, which is an intelligent living creature, or being descended from dirt and the product of generations of incest(if you take the bible as literal truth)?

Everyone is a sinner, not just Christians.

Everyone, if they have one sin, is too dirty to face God. God, by definition of a diety, is perfect, and all good. Part of being all-good and all-holy is that sin can have no part with Him. Sin cannot be in His presence. So yes, Christians, nor anyone else, can face God.

To be born again is to accept God's solution for the divide between Himself, and His creation. In order to bridge the gap that is sin, the sin has to be taken away. The only way for that sin to go away was for the final sacrafice, which atoned all sin. That was Jesus. So to accept Jesus, the final sacrafice, is to atone, or wash away, the sin that keeps you from God.

All of your questions lead me to believe that you think you are worthy of standing in God's presence. Have you sinned? If you've ever told even one white lie, or if you've had one lustful thought, then you can have no part with God. The only way to fix that is to accept the sacrafice that God made for you.

You seem to believe that Christians belittle themselves, but it's just the opposite. Christianity is the only religion where we worship God because he loves us, he's already blessed us, and we are thanking him for that. All other religions are doing things in hope that their god will love them, bless them, and save them.

God already provided the salvation, and we are all unworthy simply by the definition of a diety. All a Christian has done is admitted that.

I think a better question would be why do you think you're good enough?

Actually they do it to those they wish to convert, to make them feel vulnerable. You don't believe crap like that unless you're feeling pretty bad about yourself. While they do also consider themselves sinners, they believe that by accepting Jesus they've made it okay. Very few Christians I've met actually feel that being a sinner, or being made from dirt makes them worthless. They tend to go on about it as though it were a badge of honour.

You have misinterpreted something, dust, not dirt, Gods reminder that our bodies are of the earth and will return to the earth when our spirit will live on. Its our call to work on our souls and care less about our exteriors. We worry about our spirits and souls being clean, not our bodies. Original Sin is the reminder that man has and will turn from God but that belief in being saved can bring us back to his love and light.

Islam also says man is made from clay (dirt). It has nothing to do with any original sin, tho. G-d took samples of all the colors of the clay and threw it out over the earth to make all the different colors of man. No one color is more important than he other. All men are equal.

Humility plays a big part. You don't go before a King dressed like a begger, you go in your finest clothes and with a since that your less then him. We accept that we're sinners and that we need God. And no, we don't feel worthless. The fact that our God would accept us even if we accepted him on our deathbeds is amazing.

Its really very simple. If you reduce the common man to a pile of mud, then he has no business or respect when he comes to question the religious doctrine. It works well in allowing the proponents of the doctrine to operate free of any challenges.

[015:026] And indeed, We created man from dried (sounding) clay of altered mud.

Think what is mud? It is a carbon and water! What is the body made of? Carbon compounds and water, put a little thinking into it!

I really have no idea why people put themselves down so much simply because it's written in an old book. It's almost scary how low the self-esteem of the majority is.

Sick isn't it. The sad part is they do not realize how mentally damaging it is and therefore do not seek psychological counseling.
