I can feel that I have a pimple and I can feel the bump, but it has not surfaced at all. It feels like it is stuck under my skin. It is really painful, any ideas on how to get it to surface?

yes i get those on my cheek every so often and they hurt...they hurt to pop them too....they also take forever to go away...so what i usually do is take like a sterile sewing needle and just kinda puncture the skin...it doesn't hurt...and then just squeeze it out like a regular pimple....then it goes away faster..

I asked my dermatologist about what I thought was a pimple on my upper back, and he removed what he called a non-cancerous tumor. It was a growth from a nerve and I felt a weird sensation. He said it'll eventually come back. So you may want to check with a determatologist. The removal was painfree--it's the sensation from the nerve it grew from that felt so weird. So don't try to get the pimple to the surface for that reason--it could be something else.

I would keep putting hot compresses on it for a few days and see if that helps - sometimes it will make it come to a head. However, if you put an astringent on it, it may dry up anything inside it, I would do this like twice a day. . .sometimes those pimples are just oil. If its really large and really painful and doesn't go away or get smaller after a week or so, go to the doctor and they can drain it with a needle (ouch!).

Take a warm washcloth and put it on the pimple repeat until it comes to the surface and try washing your face with oxy 10.

Before bed. Use a warm wash cloth or fill the sink with hot water and hover over it with a towel over your head. This opens your pours. Then put a dab of toothpaste on the area where the pimple is and it should dry it out.
