why did the airbag light come on in my 1999 jeep laredo?

Is this expensive to fix?

It always comes on when you first start the car. It will stay on for a few seconds then fade. If this happens randomly while driving you may have a faulty sensor or electrical problems which are common in Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep products. The only way to find out is to take it to a mechanic.

the air bag light is there to tell you when there is something wrong with your airbag. Basically, it means that your air bag will not deploy if you get in an accident. GO TO A MECHANIC!!!

sounds like you need a new clock spring..
