ok, this little 7th grader has asked me out like 5 times and i am an eighth grader and yesterday he wrote me two letters asking me to go out with him and then he came up to me after school and asked me what my answer was. but i didnt know what to tell him because i dont want to hurt his feelings. if you have any advice please let me know. thanks!

Tell him sweetly and with a smile that you're sorry, you're just not interested in him.
Don't be mean, don't embarrass him, and tell him maybe he should pursue a girl in one of his classes. Help him out!

Dont worry about hurting his feelings. He's a little kid! Guys bounce back from things very quick. Plus he's in 7th grade...he's got a long long long time to find someone else. Besides, 7th and 8th graders are too young to be dating anyway.

First you don't want to scar the boy for life just try telling him no nicely. Also do you even know the boy if not give him a chance. Dating younger boys is awkward, but they'll surprise you they have a lot better taste than older boys. So it's really up to you and how you feel about younger boys

is it just that he is a 7th grader? You never mentioned anything else there but that he is a year younger...big deal. If you just aren't interested just say something like "I am sure you are a great guy, I am just not interested in anything with you right now"

Sounds like something i went through in 8th grade. Anyway if you want to date him then just tell him yes. But if you don't then the only thing you can do is explain to him why you don't want to date him and tell him you two can be friends if you want to be friends that is.
