You can feel anything you like.
Just DON'T share what you feel with your girlfriend.
She will more than likely kick you in the nuts if you do.
And sore nuts are a bad thing to have at Christmas!
Look on the bright side - maybe you'll get a really nice present?

Yes it is wrong to feel jealous of your girlfriend she needs your support now as she has lost someone she loved very much, the money is just a token to let her know how much her nan loved her. Hope you can get your jealousy sorted as you could lose her and she sounds a lovely person just caring about her nan and not the money.

No - you won't have a strong emotional attachment to her nan, so 20k will naturally be more attractive to you
Don't tell her what you are thinking though, you'll soon be her ex!
Perhaps she could give some of the 20k to a charity related to how her gran died, or for a tree to remember her?

Yes, it's wrong. It's not unheard of, but it's wrong. People always have bad thoughts in their head like that. The real work is realizing it's a bad thought and you should not feel jealous and make sure that is the face you show her. Soon you will realize you should not be jealous over this and be happy for her new found money, but also show her you are supportive after she lost someone she loved.

I've had the same issue with my gf.
In the last three years she has inherited three lots of inheritance, totalling around 20 thousand.
I didn't begrudge her the 5k from her nan, but the other four figure sums were from elderly friends of her parents. She didn't have any attachment to them.
I dont feel bad about being jelous about this.

Money can never replace a person!! Your friend was obviously very close to her nan! The fact that you are jealous is crazy andthis is your partner, you should be happy for her. Gives her a chance to do something with her life!

not even a bit, 20k wont replaced anyones nan especially a really loved one. If you start being jealous of a girls deceased nan you must be a jealous person and decidedly insecure. jealously doesnt build love. it destroys it. GEt your finger out and give her the support she needs. Jealous-Jeez

Most anyone who has come into an inheritance would rather have their loved one than the money. Most people would also feel a little jealous of someone who has come into a large sum of money, no matter how they got it. As long as the jealousy isn't tearing apart your relationship, you both sound normal to me.

Way wrong dude. She obviously had a lot of love and respect for her. You don't sound like you have any. No amount of money can compensate for the loss of a loved one. I hope this girl discovers the real you before you get your grubby hands on her money. That is what you are after isn't it? Just because you are her boyfriend doesn't mean you can start spending her inheritance.

As long as her nan died of natural causes, no. You are bound to feel envious. 20K is a lot of money
