Actually a Judoka is often called a Judo player, it is a common thing in the art. So is asking if someone "plays" Judo, it is not really unheard of or disrespectful. And the more you compete at it, the more you understand the chess game of it.

I'm a Judo player, practitioner, martial artist and Judoka, amongst many other things.

I'm also a smart ***...

i do judo, although i had never been referred to as a judo player until i had started competing in america last year, threw me off a little. I have been practicing judo for nine years and going, with eight years of competition, haha if you can count juniors as competition. But yes, i am another judo practitioner/player.

Clarification: One doesn't "play" Judo, one practices Judo.

I use to do a bit of judo. I really enjoy it, it's a fun style.

Even to this day I use it a lot in Muay Thai to sweep opponent from clinch.

Judo is an art.....you study it. You become one with yourself and the art is introduced into your being as a catalyst for growth.

I do. I find myself face planted on the mat frequently. I'm not very good except when I take it to the mat. My matwork is good my throws not so good.
