Only if you spend an extended amount of time very close to their prostate.
The effects of radiation are reduced according to a distance squared law. This means that if you double the distance, the effects are reduced by the square of the distance. If you get one roentgen dose at 1 foot, you'll get 1/4 roentgen at 2 feet. At 3 feet, you'll get 1/9th of the dose.

Not really. The radiation in question is mostly Alfa particles and has extremely poor penetration- ranging a few milimetres of tissue at most.
Otherwise it would kill the person who carries the implant

sure. The physician will tell him that he can't have babies on his lap. He needs to be some ft (6) faraway from babies. generally after 2 weeks, that's o.k. to be in the same room as them. based upon his length and the radioactive seeds that they implant, it must be as much as a month or so till they'd take a seat on his lap returned.
