That's exactly what I was thinking today, that I spent quite some time reading q&a in religion n spirituality. It's a real shame how some christians seem totally ignorant of Christ's teachings. I feel very bad seeing christians of whatever doctrine to express racist, militaristic and intolerant points of view. May I also remark that it seems to me that american christians tend to express such opinions more often than christians from other countries

I know there a Christians on here that don't have a clue about Christianity. They don't have an inkling of understanding about God or His Word. I know there are some Christians on here willing to compromise the Word as to not offend. I know there are Christians on here that think Jesus was all about love and forget that He is wrathful and jealous. I know there are Christians on here that are not Christian at all because if they were God would have sent the Holy Spirit to them and they would know His truth. They would have great understanding, yet, they don't, and are not Christian.

first i am going to let you know i gave you a thumbs down because a christian is a christian no matter who you are or what you think or do. if you attack some one verbaly that shows you are a christian. like this morning i was called a arrogent @$$hole by a christian and then judged me to hell but yet christians get what is coming to them there own hell because the rest of us are sick and tired of this "not a true christian" BS. a christian is a christian either if you pick and chose what you want to believe and throw out the rest so get with the program christians are evil period

Not only from yahoo answers..but in life in general..most people who claim to be Christian (as in followers of Christ) do no such thing. I do not not feel bad saying that b/c i am not juding them or condenming them just stating the fact that they do NOT strive to follow Christ's life example.

Christian- to live the life of Christ
I fully understand what you are saying and knowledge would be key for those individuals who think they know but really do not know.
Whats worse is they do not know that they don't know.

I apply the thought process, "What would Jesus do" when faced with an awkward or difficult situation. Its amazing how it has softened me, and stopped me from being harsh or rash. Jesus was no pushover mind you, but he lived (I believe) with the belief of 'do no harm'. Good thing to follow in life.

Agreed. If you focus on those red words, it's hard to understand how such non-loving, non-accepting comments show up.

There are a lot of different views and it's good to seem them on Yahoo answers. It can cause one to think, to understand, or to defend one's faith, all of which are good reactions.
