and sometimes after that.

You are asking us to answer a question as if it's true of ALL guys. It's not. I dated and dated and dated until I found the love of my life, but it wasn't so that I could get laid, it was so that I could eventually date someone who would evolve into a meaningful relationship, because beleive it or not, some guys, including me, actually want that. But I'm not every guy, and some guys never stop playing the field, even after they're in a realtionship, which I think is wrong. Some guys date just to have a good time, and not look for anything serious because they don't want that. I was dating to find true love, and after a million heartbreaks, I finally found it. To shorten this paragraph into one sentance.. the answer your question, it depends on the guy.

It all depends on the individual if they just want to be a life-long bachelor. The guys I've talked to say they want to be secure with their career before getting into a relationship. People seem to take longer to find out what they want to do with their lives and that might delay romantic relationships.
I think with our society today women are more idependent and they don't feel the need to HAVE to be in a relationship. Women are working more, making more money and have more security so having a man to "provide" for her is a thing of the past. If women don't want it - men don't have to be in relationships.
Life is interesting and frustrating at the same time. You just have to roll with the punches.

Let's not make this about guys!! girls play the field also, this remark is so sexist. SURE, GUYS are to blame. some people wait and find someone especial, some people mess around, usually what goes on through high school goes on and on at the rest of their lives, till they get married I guess, dunno if they still play the field then :S

No, most guys will have relationships until they've met the one. For me it was meet a good 'the one,' have a relationship, then meet a better 'the one' and leave good for better until meet even better and leave better for even better until I met wife "the one." And now she's got me and a dog a the worlds cutest baby. So thats how it works.

I think every person dates until they find the right one. People just don't sit around and only date the one person that they think is the right one. Guys are known to have serious relationships.

"The one" is a myth, developed in Hollywood romance movies! There are many people that can be suitable partners in a relationship. Some relationships will have more good qualities than others, but none are perfect.
