You AND your best friend should both forget about this "close to perfect guy". With his behaviour it wouldn't be suprising if he went out with another of your friends for 3 WHOLE hours. Don't let him come in between your friendship. Definitely lose him.

First of all I would never date my best friends guy unless they had been apart a while and she didnt care if I dated him. If he still talks to her that is o.k. but constant asking about her leads me to believe he still interested in her. What does she have to say about all this? How can you get so attached in 3 hrs that you hafta keep asking all the time and how do you know he's not creeping around behind your back. I would get more info before breaking up, but be careful of what you might find out.

I would break up with him for sure. You are going to get hurt even more if you stay with him. It sounds like he was only dating you to get to your friend. He obviously has interest in her, maybe she didn't reciprocate the feelings like he had hoped that is why he went back to you. Dump him and find someone who is going to love you not your friends!

Hey...this time of year is a good time to grow up and get on with life. If you've broken up once and he went to your "best friend" for solace then that's where you will find him next time, too.
