I met this girl on the internet who lives in the same town as i do, and we share the same community friends. She gave me her number, problem is i feel uneasy talking to someone i've never seen although she did ask me to take her out which i will but i've got to call her first. I'm 16 and she's 18 but their isn't any problem in regard to size since im alot taller. I'd like some tips on making a long conversation work and be interesting with a girl on the phone and some conversation starters ?

I have some little icebreakers that I use to fill those awkward silences...
-What's your favorite guilty pleasure?
-If you could be any cartoon character, who would it be and why?
-If you could retire tomorrow, where would you retire to?

You can come up with your own. I know these are a little goofy, but they can also be a little flirty. When I'm talking to a new guy, and we get to the awkward silence stage, I usually comment on it, and we both get a chuckle out of it.
