Btu(British thermal unit) is a measure of energy while kw is a measure of power.Use the following for conversion.

1 Btu/hour [I.T.] = 0.000 293 071 kilowatt
1 Btu/minute [I.T.] = 0.017 584 264 kilowatt
1 Btu/second [I.T.] = 1.055 055 852 kilowatt
(1 Btu/hour [I.T.],1 Btu/minute [I.T.] ,1 Btu/second [I.T.] are the unit of power).

3412 BTU = 1 kwh. Note BTUs are energy, kw are power, so you must equate BTUs to kw-hours (kwh).

BTU/3.41 = VA. For W you need to know the pf.
