Give her some flowers, chocolates,or a bottle of wine. The woman of the house really enjoys others bringing her a gift, to show her how thankful they are for the invitation....If it's a Christmas party a nice crystal ornament would be great and she will remember the giver for a long time.....

Glass drink stirrers are nice too. I buy some extra, with a Christmas theme, for the parties this time of year. Also, a nice scented candle is a good gift. White Barn Candle Co has really nice candles in glass and boxed.

Fresh flowers are always appropriate, or some nice soap for her bathroom. This time of year there are always little gift baskets available in the stores. Some good chocolate would be a possibility too.

Linens and things or bed bath and beyond have those wine sets -with a nice opener, some pourers, and a couple other things, all in a nice wood set. Its a nice host gift, because its something that they can keep for a long time!

Think about what they drink - a bottle of wine is nice, or a gift basket of assorted crackers and cheese.

If you don't have a lot of cash - a poinsetta plant is nice and not expensive. Or if you are a good baker- a tin of home made cookies.

The hostess became, possibly, overstepping by giving the bride's measurements, because it does propose that giving underclothes is easily required. It truthfully isn't. a social gathering isn't comparable to a bath, and does not easily require a modern-day. i'm helpful, whether, that the bride could like somewhat something. in case you do no longer desire to spring for underclothes, you could desire to supply an outstanding scented lotion, somewhat intercourse e book, or another enjoyable present. For my social gathering, one visitor (an in depth chum), gave underclothes, lotion, AND a intercourse recreation, yet another gave a small set of creams, yet another gave a stupid (obscene) hat, and a few gave no longer something in any respect. i did no longer have any detrimental innovations approximately people who gave no presents - in truth, I positioned them quite above the stupid hat female, to be sincere. :-) incredibly, it became all enjoyable and there have been no perplexing emotions. apart from, i think of if a number of those human beings were invited to my bathe (they weren't, because my bathe became deliberate by a relative of my husband), they won't have given something. (Giving bathe, bachelorette, AND wedding ceremony presents can incredibly upload up.)

A bottle of wine is always nice. If it's a christmas party, you can always add a nice ornament around the neck of the bottle.
