I'm crushing bigtime on my neighbor. He knows that, but hasn't made any move so far.

Another neighbor of mine said that my crush confided in him about me. My crush said that the reason he hasn't asked me out yet is because of our age difference.

Thing is, I'm 13 and he's 16. Does it make much difference?
Even if he wants to wait, we'll still be 3 years apart, no matter what. So should I just forget him?Or give him a piece of my mind?Or what??

Yeah, ur only 13. I have 3 daughters, and none of them will be dating until at least 16.

In this case, yes, the age difference does matter. U are too young. Consider yourself lucky that this guy obviously has respect for women, even at his young age. Maybe someday...

Well kiddo join the human race. In our society we have taboos, about age difference. If you are 21 and he is 28, no one blinks an eye. But there is a difference between 13 and 20 now. Usually at young ages, you are immature and the law says so along with your parents. Besides, as long as you too don't go to bed it should be no problem, in my opinion. But the hormones of a 16 year old boy, say otherwise.

At your age, unfortunately the age difference is huge and may be a factor in his not asking you out. Later in life, 3 years isn't a big deal. If he already knows that you have a crush and he hasn't made a move, I'd say to stay friends and not put pressure on. Don't persue the relationship...just let it be and if it's meant to be in a few years, it'll happen.

At 13 and 16 yes its a difference. At 16 boys are usually looking for sex. Also he can be charged with statuary rape. So these are all major reasons why he may be concerned. When your 16 and he is 19 its a different story. I wouldn't give him a piece of your mind because he is just worried.

Well if you two were like in your twentys or somthing it wouldn't reaaly matter. But 16 and 13 don't seem to go together. At this point to him it seems like 8 years apart. You just became a teen and to him, he probaly still sees you like a kid. Ask your self. Would you go out with a 10 year old.

Give him time.. Right now 3 yrs seems like an eternity, but when you're 18 and he's 21 it won't make a difference.. my husband is 4 yrs older than me... Plus, you are only 13.. Have fun with your friends.. Don't worry about older boys now.. . You have plenty of time for that later...

You're 13. Yes, the age matters. Why are you even worried about boys. You'll have plenty of time for that later. Enjoy being a kid.

You're still young, that's the only problem. 3 years isn't much but since you're young it would create some problems. If you were over 18 then it wouldn't matter much.
