More characters - great!

As we can see the results of different Books upon its people who profess to believe in those books, which country, or people, or way of life would you prefer to live under which was brought about by it's beliefs in its various Holy Books. Today, you can't tell - especially in Western culture because it's a hodgepodge of beliefs that are not pure in its beliefs but when cultures were isolated by geography and lack of freedom to travel or immigrate to America (or other countries) would you like to live in those countries - which one?

For example, why is it that China fell to Red Communists and so many of its sister countries have done the same and been ruled by dictators? What is it about their religion or beliefs that gives those same results and would you like to live under those circumstances?

There are total four books revealed to different Prophets. Unfortunately, less Quran other three are so badly affected by the amendments by their followers that today they are not trustworhty. If someone tries to get guidance from them he will get confused. We can say that in todays form only Quran is the word of God cuz it is exactly in the same shape as it was 1400 years ago.

Wow. There are so many competing ideas. IMHO, I believe that the Holy Bible is authoritative and profitable for teaching, correction, and training in righteousness, if those are priorities for your life.

I know I won't win you to my position by screaming at you. I also don't know what to say in such a small space that makes my position unique from all the others. Although, I am grateful we can have a forum for the free expression of ideas. Praise God.

For further reading, I'd suggest the narrative, the Gospel of John, in the New Testament. Please keep searching. Don't let anyone put you down if you think you've found the answer.

The Holy Bible contains 66 books written by men who were "guided by the hand of God".

For nearly 2000 years, these scriptures have been accepted as the Word of the Lord.

Modern translations of the Bible have, in some cases, corrupted the true meaning of some of the scriptures. Creed books, books added to the Bible, and other religious material were written by men with God's inspiration.

The Bible is still the best selling book in the United States (not sure about globally.) It is a manuscript that has lasted longer than any other written materials. God said that he would preserve his word and he has.

What is contained in the Torah, Bible, and Quran I believe came from God and contain the word of God. The problem with all those books is God had man writing them. Man was responsible for replicating them over the years. Today there are many things that are taken out of context. And to top it all off I'm certain there have been some words that the meanings of were changed in translation over the years.

That being said those three books still give you and I very good guidelines on how to live our lives. Where mankind goes wrong in using them is we devote too little time using those guidelines to live our lives and too much time using bits and pieces of what is said as justification on why someone else is living wrong. And then taking it upon ourselves to 'correct' others. It was said, he who is without blemish, let him cast the first stone. Who among us is even qualified to pick up the first stone much less throw it?

First of all, holy books are written by men - not god. Therefore, there's much lost in translation.. Take time out of your life to write a chapter everyday..

I've also lived in China for several years, don't believe all the media hype and propaganda in the US. Chinese folks can travel freely, its the US government that rejects about 90% of all visa applications. Nothing to do with whether or not China will let them travel. -cheers

In ALL organized religion the "organizers" are considered administrators. The characters are the examples, and the entire theme is to live right. Sort of a "rules to live by" if you want happiness (not pleasure, or bliss) in your life. Rules of men often contradict rules of religion, and yet they are the foundation of those rules.

No books are from God. God is one of the many characters found in books of tales and legends from the middle east. The books were written by men. They are works of fiction.

Oh dear dear dear, this is a bit of a muddle, isn't it? Actually I wish NONE of them had been written. then maybe we could all agree to disagree on the Name of God instead of having to kill each other over it. That would be nice. I vote for just being kind to each other instead of following books.
