why does he say that? & what does it mean coming from a man

I was in a situation like this once and it was because the man and I had dated before we each got married to other people. We still ran in the same circles and eventually discovered that we still had deep feelings for each other years later. We both knew, at least at that time, that feelings or not, we couldn't act on them because others would be hurt and we weren't ready for the consequences of divorce, especially since we both had had a kid with our spouses. I think if this man is "honorable and respectful" he is probably trying to acknowledge, to you, that he has deep feelings for you but something bigger, not necessarily better, is keeping him from acting on his feelings because he is trying to keep his marriage vows. That was just my experience...I will add that each of our marriages eventually ended, mine two years after his, and we did get married and are married still. I wish you luck. This may not be the situation you are in, especially if he's not in another serious relationship. If there isn't any obvious reason for you two to not be together, then he may just have trouble with commitment or self-esteem.

Well it either means he just wants in your pants and doesn't want a relationship. There could be many factors.. Why cant it go anywhere?? If you have the answer to that then you pretty much will know why he keeps saying one but saying it cant go anywhere..

Amazingly he is telling you the truth :-)
He wants to have sex. But, he doesn't want to be your life-partner.
He sees you as just another conquest. Shame on him.
Dump him.
You deserve much better. There are lots of stand-up guys out there who want a real, loving relationship and life long comittment. Sex is sex, and it is fun; but it is nothing like a real love - real love makes sex a LOT better. No fling can compare.

He wish to have sex with you don't fall for his fake love be carefull.
ask him directly or indirectly about his his interest in sex with you,just try be free with if tries to do some dirty things cut the relation ship with him.
