We were dancing together. He asked me to find a light for his cigarette... I turned around to get one and when I turned back he had gone. I saw him dancing with someone else later on, but I left because I didn't know what to do. He says he's not my boyfriend and he can do what he wants. I think he shouldn't do that to anyone, boyfriend or not. What do you think?

You do not have to ask our permission to be upset; you have every right to be...it sounds like he has you brainwashed. The more you tolerate abusive behavior the more he will dish it out.

To treat you that way...that is just rude; he is not your best friend and you are obviously only a booty call to him. Sever the relationship and move on to find someone who will value and appreciate you.

I agree, that's rude. He could say he wants to be alone for a while or just that he wants to dance with someone else, just sneaking off is rude... or at least socially incompetent; is he a shy person who may not dare say anything like that? In that case the intent is not as bad but either way the result is no fun....
