"Thank you for this honor. I will treasure it as much as I treasure the advice of my first speech teacher, who taught me the importance of making brief acceptance speeches."

Then sit down.

Keep it humble and somewhat short and sweet. Thank those who voted for you to recieve the reward. Talk a little bit about how you achieved that honor and what brought you to this time and place in your life. Maybe, add a little personal note about wife and/or family (if you have any) that helped you along the way. People like a little personal reference as it lets them warm up to you more. You may end by saying something about how you now plan to use that reward to further your career even moreso. Just share a little about your future plans centered around that reward and whatever it is you do (business wise or personal wise) that is associated with that honor.

You can have something prepared but just use short points on notecards so that you are not buried into a paper and reading word for word. People really prefer a more personal and unprepared speech anyway.

Lastly, try not to be nervous. You have evidently worked hard to earn this right and those who placed you in the position evidently believe in you. Be proud of yourself.

Congrats and good luck!

What are you getting this reward for?..The best speech you can give is to speak about the subject of the reward, why you hold passion for this subject, and acknowledge others who also worked hard to acheave the same goals. You can also speak of future goals pertaining to the same subject of which you are receiving this award. Just be careful to not speak as if you are gloating...be humble...and also do not ramble on, make it short and sweet, as people will get bored and the last thing you want to do is speak to a mumbling audience.. Congratulations! Well done!

Start with thank you and launch into an funny anecdote about your first day with the company or when you first wanted to get into the industry. Talk about how your hard work has paid off but that you wouldn't be doing it if it weren't for the 'personal' reward. Another big thank you and then pause for applause, bow if you wish and exit stage right.

You could say:

I want to thank everybody who believed in me and also thank God (people like people who has faith or religion, somehow) I was trying to draw out a thank you speech from yahoo answers because i wanted to give the best thank you speech but i guess it's because i want to give me best thank yous to all of you here.

Remember that no-one wants to hear a long speech

Remember to say that it's nice that what you've done has been appreciated

Remember to thank those who've helped you

Remember to say that you hope what youve done will help other people to achieve much more than you could achieve yourself.
