How come, even if you've not eaten in a day, been sick a lot, you still are not hungry if you have food poisoning? I had some dodgy dinner last night, thought I was hungry this morning, brought my breakfast and the rest up and am not even that hungry despite not having kept food down since yesterday...why is this?

It's your body's defence mechanism protecting yourself. If you have bad bacteria in your gut,if you eat more food this too becomes rank so your body expels it through vomiting. Just try to keeps you fluid intake up esp if you start with the trots. Then eat a little of what you fancy, easily digested foods such as milk products are generally best though.

It looks like you have some kind of gastroenteritis. It's usually caused by poor hygiene (restaurant or consumer). Drink lots of electrolytes to stop dehydration. Eat mint-flavoured jelly or candy to soothe your taste buds. Black tea with sugar (no milk) helps to dry out the tract, if there is diarrhoea.
The dehydration may be causing the loss of appetite.
If your symptoms persist for over 24 hours, then please see a GP.

Oooh! Sorry to hear you're not well.
It's a bummer when your food bites back like that. The good thing about crocodile is that it only tries to bite you before you eat it!
take care and hope you're feeling better soon.
