Bible : "If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers; Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you ... Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him: But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people. And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die." -- Dt.13:6-10

Quran:
They long that ye should disbelieve even as they disbelieve ... take them and kill them wherever ye find them. 4:89

Slay the idolaters wherever ye find them, and take them (captive), and besiege them, and prepare for them each ambush. 9:5
The disbelievers are an open enemy to you. 4:101

If they ... assail your religion, then fight the heads of disbelief. ...
Fight them! Allah will chastise them at your hands, and He will lay them low and give you victory over them 9:12-14

Fight against such of those who have been given the Scripture as believe not in Allah. 9:29

Fight those of the disbelievers who are near to you, and let them find harshness in you. 9:123

Why are most answers going to be that I took this out of context? I can post the entire verses and it still plays out the same way.

As suspected, you say I take it out of context. Blah blah blah. Fine. Explain this :
Thus it will be clear to you that execution of the apostate is something that is commanded by Allaah, when he commanded us to obey the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), as He says (interpretation of the meaning):

“O you who believe! Obey Allaah and obey the Messenger (Muhammad), and those of you (Muslims) who are in authority”

[al-Nisa’ 4:59]

And the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) has commanded us to execute the apostate as in the hadeeth quoted above: “Whoever changes his religion, execute him.”

Deut 13:6-10 Response in context

The offense was so serious and so was the punishment. death.
It was better for a false prophet to be executed than for one to escape punishment and mislead the people.
SO YOU SHALL PUT AWAY THE EVIL FROM YOUR MIDST.
Discipline, punishment and testing were God's means of keeping His people pure. Having withstood the test, they could more easily resist the temptations of other evildoers.

YOU HAND SHALL BE THE FIRST
The relative who brought the charge would lead in the capital punishment of the relative who suggested the idolatrous practices.
TO ENTICE YOU AWAY
With unforgettable words, Jesus emphasized the severity of the offense. Such a person should not have been born. He would be better off if he were thrown into the sea with a milstone around his neck. Matt: 18:6,7

Oh look another verse that says Islam is violent. Let me repeat myself again. read the verses before and after each of the verse this will put it into context. Then you put it into historical context i.e. what was happening at the time, they were being attacked by the Kaafirs of Makkah.

For example your first verse 4:89 read 4:90 you find

Except those who join a group between whom and you there is a treaty (of peace), or those who approach you with hearts restraining them from fighting you as well as fighting their own people. If Allah had pleased, He could have given them power over you, and they would have fought you: Therefore if they withdraw from you but fight you not, and (instead) send you (Guarantees of) peace, then Allah Hath opened no way for you (to war against them).

Therefore if they don't fight you, you do not have permission to fight them.

Well, your not supposed to take these literally. If you do then you are a fundamentalist. Just because Muslims read the Qur'an, that does not mean that they believe they should say kill somone who isn't Muslim. There's stuff like this in the Bible too and you don't see people saying that the Bible tells you to kill people (unless their fundamentalist). The point is that the Qur'an isn't supposed to be taken literally.

The relative who brought the charge would lead in the capital punishment of the relative who suggested idolatrous practices.

Everything reported in the Bible does not make it acceptable behavior by God. I believe that the Bible is true. When you let Holy Spirit guide you you will understand His messages better.
And I always ask you to see the big picture. Not to pick an chose weird sounding stuff without looking into the whole story.

God is like sun. You cannot look at it directly or it would blind you. But without the sun you would not see anything else clearly.

I can answer about the Quran... so here goes:

The Quran is referring a specific context in which Prophet Muhammad(saws) was told to fight the disbelievers - the neighboring tribes of the Quraish as well as some individuals from other tribes - that harbored hate towards him and wanted him and his messege stopped. They basically wanted to kill all the people that had come to Islam as well.

Also, you will hear Muslims say that the Quran is for all times and all people. Yes it is for all times - not just that of the Prophet(saws) - but it only to be used in context. Meaning one is only to adhere to such verses if they follow the rules the verses imply - use only lethal force in self defense, do not kill innocents, do not kill women and children, etc.

Hope this helps.

Quran and Bible are books of GOD. Its impossible that GOD say to kill innocent people . Its impossible to stop your self to defend your self if some one try to kill you or your family. Then you have right to kill your enemy. Do you know which one is best revolution in this world that was before many years before when last Prophit Mohammad came after Jesus. That revolution was in worst currupt and blood lovers community there was no rules and no mercy. Women just for sex and there was no justice . Just powerful got all rights to do what ever he wants. You should read Quran and Bible carefully and completely dont just read half part of verses. Just try to find out how many people died in that biggest revolution of this world. which every body excepts that was best community and law and order system. There was no priority for white or black or religion preference or hatred to week or women respect. That women were just for fun and they used to kill them if there husband die or at the time of birth of baby girl. There was no respect for women so Prophit Mohammad instructed them to do Hejab so in this way any body can understand these women are not for sale, it was not mean that bind them in hijab and houses but wrong presentation is very strong. So dont look at people and media just follow your heart and find the truth and you just need to read Quran in detail thats it and then you will find the truth.

The Bible does NOT state to kill non beleivers, Jesus told his followers to respect everyone's beliefs and if they are not willing to convert to christianity then to respect that and move on.
The perfect example of Christianity never commanded His followers to wage war against unbelievers.

The perfect example of Islam commanded his followers to wage war against Jews, Christians, and pagans. He even went on to say that these others should be attacked and killed.

Jesus never killed anyone. Muhammed killed many.
