I don't know about swimming, sorry, but I can tell you that during my second pregnancy I had ridiculously bad sciatica (couldn't walk half the time). I had it for six months and it hurt like nothing else.
I started seeing a kinesiologist (natural therapist), and she worked on two accupressure points on my back, literally for about two seconds each, and it went away instantly, never to return.
So if you can find someone who does accupressure/accupuncture, maybe that will help.

office where most part of the body weigh pressurise the central nerves system thus the pain To remedy this solution, it's suggested that swimming is the best way to reduce pain. If not,
the chinese accupanture may give you a little help.
