No, for a single batch of sugar cookies, you can do without the salt.
Usually, these recipes call only for a pinch -- sometimes 1/8, or 1/4 teaspoon.
Salt does enhance the taste of the ingredients a bit but you'll be safe this time.
Are you sure you don't have salt around the house. I usually have a couple of packets from fast food places somewhere around, sometimes in my car. If you do, you've found enough salt.
Again, not to worry if no salt. You'll do it next time.

Salt has a chemical effect on the dough, essentially strengthening it. The small amount does make a difference to the end product and in baking not enough is usually used to really be considered unhealthy. (and it's kind of hard to judge the health issues of a pinch of salt in a recipe that calls for loads of refined sugar!)

No you don't need the salt but it certainly helps. Salt brings out the flavors of all ingredients. I would go borrow some and bake half the cookies with out and half with the salt you will recognise the difference for sure.

It's okay if you don't have salt! Because most recipes call for salt and some call for allot of salt, which is really not good for you.

No. Salt is just for taste. If you are really worried about it call your neighbor and ask if they have some you can borrow. You can always go over and ask too!
Hope I helped! Have a very Merry Christmas!

No you don't, it probably only says a pinch of salt or small amount - and it doesn't make a noticeable difference to the end result.
You'll be fine!

it all depends on how much salt it calls for. if its only a little then i dont think it will matter. if its a lot then you might want to borrow some.
