This is caused by a fungus in the scalp. Try a coal tar soap now and then, as a shampoo. But most people with this condition tend to rely on frequent use (mild) shampoo. Or, rinse your hair with a mix of half-water and half-white vinegar, a couple of times per week. Multi-mineral supplements are also highly recommended for persons suffering scalp odours. Avoid pungent foods or asparagus for a couple of months if possible.
