Conditioner must be left on the hair for atleast 5 minutes to work . If its rinsed out shortly after putting it on it acts only as a creme rinse ( detangler). Most conditioners are all the same. Wash your hair first in the shower , and put on the conditioner, then wash the rest of your body. When your all done , then rinse out the conditioner.

Hi there! Go for natural, silicone-free conditioners. It won't weight down your hair, or leave behind residue. I've tried the organic conditioner from Pro Naturals Hair Repair System. It's heavily infused with argan oil, which has Vitamin E an fatty acids, which help make hair healthy, shiny and resilient. It helped revive my damaged hair.

This is going to sound crazy, but the best conditioner with the longest lasting effects I have found comes in a tube you can only get inside herbal essences permanent hair dye boxes. Each tube has about 6-8 uses in it, but this stuff is awesome so you can just use 1-2 times a week with a mild conditioner (try Moisture Maniac by Bedhead) the rest of the week and always have silky smoothe hair.

Pantene seems to last the longest. Just follow label directions - you don't need to leave it on for 5 minutes.
