Do you have anything you wished you cleared up or apologized for? do you think you need closure before you can move on with life.

Does doing so open up another chapter of life? or open a part of yourself that was blocked because of it?

I don't need it. I normally imagine imaginary white, thin strings attached to me and people in my circle. And those that are closer to me have thicker strings. But once it's over I picture an imaginary sissors cutting the string. And mentally I can just walk away from that person.

But I understand it is important for some people.

It's called closure for a reason. Getting closure is like achieving a milestone marker in your life. It's having the courage to face something. Face it and change for the better. Because you know within yourself you did what took.

Not getting closure is like walking around with an open wound that refuses to heal and it manifests itself in other aspects of your life. In getting closure you may actually learn something of vital importance.

If there is some sort of closure you are on the fence about getting I'd tell you to go for it. Especially if someone is ill or leaving. Because if they go before you get a chance to sort it all out you'll never have closure and will wrestle with from that point on.

I think closure is very important, and in a sense it does stop you from completely moving on to the next chapter in life. If you're still holding on to "I wish I would have, or Why did this happen?" then you can't really get a clear understanding of a situation that mayhelp you further in life, and perhaps you'll keep repeating the same chapter over and over til you get it right.

I think closure is very important depending on the person. Me personally, I have to have closure. When my ex-bf and I broke up, I didn't deal with it properly. I tried to move on without getting the answers I wanted about the break up. I was hurt and refused to admit it. All those things come back if not dealt with properly.

Closure of one event opens you to new events, it allows you to move on without bringing old baggage into a new beginnings. you don't have to communicate with the other person to do so, especially if you are of a spiritual nature. resolve it within, understand that everything as reason, store everything that was positive and discard all that was negative then start anew.

I think closure is for the birds. There is no such thing, only time will help.

its like a cut you get on your skin, if you don't close it up, it will stay open and continue to bleed and eventually leave a life-long scare.
