It takes 3,500 calories to gain or lose a pound. Fidgeting might burn 50 a day. A better way is to take a brisk walk after work. 2 miles burns about 200 calories. If you walk briskly enough to break a light sweat but still be able to carry on a conversation. you will also be speeding up the rate at which you burn calories for the next 24 hours.

Definitely. There was a show on tv a few years back that documented the lifestyles of a group of people, and no matter what kind of job the person had, or caloric intake, the fidgeters were less likely to become obese.

no not really, because if you are a walker you have to be doing a frisk hard walk for at leats a half an hour before you start burning any fat. by walking up and down stairs all day, will definatley burn some fat.

Fidgeting will burn some calories, but probably not enough to lose any significant weight from. If you have a sedentary job, you should
make sure that you take some to stretch throughout the day.

Hope this helps!
