The number of whole numbers, as the previous answerer points out, is 0 or 1 or 2, depending on whether you allow yourself to count 1 and 0.
To prove that the number of numbers is infinite, consider the following list:
1/2
1/3
1/4
1/5
1/6, etc.
All of these numbers are between 0 and 1, and how many of these are there? Unlimited. Infinite.
