Is there anyway upon starting my computer up that I can put a password on here so that no one can get on my computer unless they have the password?

Some newer computers allow through the BIOS to set a startup password. If yours doesn't and you are using Win XP or Win 2000 go into the control panel to User accounts and highlight your account and the reset password should do it. Or you could do a CTRL ALT DELETE and one of the options is to change password. Good luck.

There are two passwords:
1. BIOS
2. Windows

In BIOS settings you can enable the password by hitting del on start up

OR start-> control panel-> user accounts-> for windows

Hi

There are 2 level of password :

1) BIOS password
2) Windows password

Check your motherboard or PC on how to set the BIOS password

Or you can simply log on to Windows and set your password

BIOS password is not important. it just prevents other users from changing ur BIOS setting. u can easily erase ur BIOS password by removing the power supply and battery on ur mainboard

go to the start menu, then go to control panel and then go to user accounts you then can figure it out
